Code of Conduct

Sudo is dedicated towards building an inclusive and welcoming community for all those who participate in and support our initiatives. We focus on empowerment for women and minorities (including sex, sexual orientation, race, marital status, gender identity or expression, creed, age, colour, disability, political or religious belief) and are committed to providing an environment free of discrimination and harassment, where all individuals are treated with respect and dignity, can contribute fully, and have equal opportunities.

Sudo does not and shall not discriminate on the basis of age, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, family status, marital status, disability, race, ancestry, place of origin, ethnic origin, citizenship, or colour.

All members of Sudo and those involved with the Sudo community are expected to uphold and abide by this policy, by refraining from any form of harassment or discrimination, and by cooperating fully in any investigation of a harassment or discrimination complaint.

Shared Values and Expectations

We insist that everyone who is a part of the Sudo community remains mindful of and takes responsibility for their speech and behavior. With this in mind, this is not an exhaustive list of our expectations, but encompasses the spirit of our values and this code of conduct.

We do not tolerate oppressive behavior, harassment, destructive behavior, or exclusionary actions. This includes, but is not limited to:

Reporting Misconduct

If a participant engages in behavior which is not tolerated, Sudo or the event organizers will take any action they deem appropriate. These actions include, but are not limited to, issuing a warning or expulsion from all future Sudo spaces, a request for a public or private apology, and arranging a conflict-resolution session if actions were not deemed inappropriate.

If you experience or notice harassment, discrimination, or any of the other listed behaviors at a Sudo event please report the incident as soon as possible. Violations of the Code of Conduct can be submitted anonymously here on this form and the Sudo team will review and respond to all reports. All reports will be kept confidential.
